Bio Health Agnus Castus, Vitex agnus castus L, is a traditional herbal medicinal product used to help relieve premenstrual symptoms such as irritability, mood swings, breast tenderness, bloating and menstrual cramps, based on traditional use only.
Agnus castus's benefits, also known as Vitex or Chasteberry, are associated with several different constituents, including flavonoids, iridoid glycosides, and terpenoids. The whole fruit extract, rather than one of its individual constituents, appears to be necessary for the activity of Agnus castus.
