The beautiful golden yellow powder can be mixed into milk or a vegan substitute. The recipe for this drink is as old as the Ayurvedic tradition and brings with it centuries of Ayurvedic knowledge.
The yellow-orange powder smells wonderfully of sweet vanilla and is gingery & spicy. The mix is slightly foamy and the cheerful yellow color brings sunshine to your day!
The sweet flavour blends into a slightly spicy finish!
The turmeric latte can be prepared in two different ways:
Simple preparation: Add 1 teaspoon of the Turmeric Latte mixture (about 2 grams) to 250 ml milk (best fits a vegetable milk) stir, warm and sweeten to taste with agave syrup, coconut blossom sugar or honey.
Preparation according to Ayurveda : First you prepare a paste. Stir 1/4 cup spice mixture with 1/2 cup water. Then bring to a simmer over low heat on stove until a paste is formed. The paste can be stored for 5-7 days in the refrigerator. / For a smaller amount : add 1 heaped tbsp (about 8g) of Turmeric Latte mixture into 30 ml of water and then bring to a simmer. Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric paste to 250 ml milk (best fits a vegetable milk), stir and heat. Heat over medium heat for 4-5 minutes. Simmer. Sweeten 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or sesame oil and refine will with agave syrup, honey or coconut blossom sugar.
